How much does a roof replacement cost in Jacksonville, FL?
Most asphalt shingle roof replacements in the Jacksonville area run between $9,000 and $22,000, depending on roof size, pitch, the number of layers to be removed, and the shingle line. Metal and Fortified Roof™ systems run higher but offer 50-year+ warranties and insurance discounts. We provide free written estimates.
Is First Light a GAF Master Elite® roofer?
Yes. First Light Home Services is GAF Master Elite® certified — a designation held by fewer than 2% of GAF contractors nationwide. This lets us offer the GAF Golden Pledge® warranty, the strongest in the industry.
What roofing brands and shingles do you install?
Our primary shingle is the GAF Timberline HDZ®. We also install GAF Timberline UHDZ®, GAF Designer shingles (Camelot, Grand Sequoia, Glenwood), and Owens Corning by customer request. For metal, we install Worthouse stone-coated steel, standing seam, and exposed-fastener panels.
How long does a roof replacement take?
A typical residential asphalt shingle replacement takes 1–2 days. Metal and Fortified Roof™ systems can take 2–4 days depending on size and complexity. We give you a clear schedule before work begins.
Do you offer financing?
Yes. We offer multiple financing options for qualified homeowners — including 0% promotional plans and longer-term low-payment options. Apply through our financing page and get an instant decision.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards, ACH bank transfer, certified check, and insurance proceeds. Financing partners include GreenSky and Service Finance.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes — fully licensed in the State of Florida, fully insured for general liability and workers' compensation. Certificates of insurance available on request before any work begins.
Do you help with insurance claims?
Yes. We document storm damage, meet with your adjuster on-site, and handle the paperwork from inspection through final invoice. We do not work for the insurance company — we work for you.
